Gosia Cooks: Strawberry cake

Take advantage of the season for strawberries and bake a delicious cake. It is always worth having this recipe at hand, because it only takes a few moments to make it, and before you know it, only crumbs will be left behind.

Ingredients:

  • 5 eggs (M)
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • sugar with real vanilla
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of plain flour
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 500 g strawberries (+ 200 g to decorate the cake)
  • powdered sugar

Form with a diameter of 24 cm.



Tips:

Put the eggs into a bowl and beat them into a fluffy, light cream on high speed of the mixer, gradually adding sugar and sugar with vanilla. Then gradually pour the oil in a thin stream, mixing all the time. Finally, add the sifted flour with baking powder and mix thoroughly at minimum speed.

Pour the dough into a round rail lined with baking paper, sprinkle the strawberries cut into quarters and put in the oven preheated to 180 ° C.

Bake the dough until the stick is dry for about 45-50 minutes.

After it has cooled down, sprinkle the cake with powdered sugar and decorate it with strawberries.
