Gosia Cooks: Peasant pot with peppers
Inspired by Polish cuisine, a filling and tasty one-pot dish for the whole family.
- 0.5 kg of sausage
- 0.2 kg of smoked bacon
- 0.5 kg of potatoes
- 2 onions
- 2 red peppers
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 head of white cabbage
- 3 tablespoons of oil
- Spices: salt, black pepper, bay leaf, sweet pepper, chili, marjoram, thyme, basil
In a pot with hot oil, fry the onion, garlic, sausage, cut into crescents and smoked bacon diced.
Then add the diced paprika, potatoes and shredded cabbage. Mix everything and fry for a few minutes.
Pour boiling water, add a tablespoon of sweet pepper, bay leaf and stew, covered, over low heat for about 25 minutes, until all vegetables are tender. We mix it up from time to time.
Finally, season with salt, pepper, marjoram, thyme, basil and chili.
If you want to thicken the dish, you can make a roux at the end.
Enjoy your meal!
