Gosia Cooks: Halva cake
It looks amazing and we can assure you that it tastes the same! You can easily do it yourself. The recipe is simple and not very time consuming. Check it out for yourself:
Ingredients for shortcrust pastry:
- 180g of coarse flour
- 120g of butter
- 1 yolk
- 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
Ingredients for the halva mass:
- 250 g of mascarpone cheese
- 100 g of vanilla halva
- 100 g of white chocolate
- 200 g of black currant jam
For decoration: halva, almonds, cranberries, grated white chocolate, chocolate eggs, etc.
Preparation of shortcrust pastry
Chop the butter and flour with a knife. Add the remaining ingredients and continue chopping. When the dough has the consistency of crumble, quickly knead it and, wrapped in cling film, put it in the fridge for an hour. Then take the dough out, roll it out and place it in the form of a tart. Prick with a fork and cool again for an hour.
Preheat the oven and bake it at 175 ° C for about 20 minutes.
Preparation of the halva mass
Heat the mascarpone cheese and crumbled halva in a saucepan, stir all the time until the mass is homogeneous. Put together the fire and add the broken chocolate. After about 2 minutes, mix until a uniform consistency is obtained. We cool the mass.
Spread the currant jam on the crispy, cooled dough. Put the halva cream out and spread it gently. We leave it to cool completely. We decorate freely.
