Gosia Cooks: Country one-pot dish

Delicious and filling one-pot dish – a country cauldron with white beans and sausage is the perfect meal for the autumn aura outside the window. It will delight your family members and warm you up on colder days.


INGREDIENTS:

  • 200 g of bacon
  • 1/2 kg of sausage
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1/2 kg of potatoes
  • 500 ml of boiling water
  • 2 large skinned tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
  • 1 can of beans

Spices:

  • salt, black pepper, bay leaf, allspice, sweet pepper, chili, marjoram, thyme

Tips:

  1. Fry the bacon, onion and garlic in a pot, add the sliced sausage. Then add the diced paprika and potatoes. Mix everything and fry for a few minutes.
  2. Pour boiling water, add a tablespoon of sweet pepper, bay leaf, allspice, diced skinned tomatoes and tomato paste. Simmer everything covered over low heat for about 20 minutes until the vegetables are tender. We mix it up from time to time.
  3. Finally, add the drained beans, season with salt, pepper, marjoram, thyme and chili and cook for another 5 minutes.
